Good location, nice swimming pool & beach access
Great location - walking distance to all night clubs and bars, very nice and clean beach and pool. Rooms are nice and spacious. Poor housekeeping - rooms were not cleaned and we needed to call to make them. Not enough towels - just two per room. No bar open after midnight. I have been expected more from Hyatt, but in the end, it is ok. Cons - No bar after midnight, poor room service

stay awaay from this hotel
The hotel is very close to the hotel zone, the clubs and such. It is by the ocean so it has its own coast. But, you may find these in other hotels in the hotel zone line. I chose to stay there because it was very close to the place of a conference I went Cancun for, Cancun convention center.
do not stay there. there are much cheaper hotels right next to it. i had to change my room because water was dropping from the spot light right on my bath tube. they said they will send a maintenance, and they did. the next time i wanted to take a shower, it was the same problem. they changed my room, i was staying in a smoking and ocean-view room. the new room was non-smoking (even though i told them i wanted a smoking room) and half ocean view. when i again asked for a smoking room, they let me smoke in that room. so, actually people smoke in non-smoking rooms as well. bummer. and they are not standardized. you need to make a payment to make a phone call to reception and then go back to your room and use the phone there, which was broken in my room, or the one in the lobby, which has no privacy. i am told the price for a call was 11 pesos once, then 13 pesos once and 30 pesos once. lol, they just make up numbers i guess. Cons - Reception - very, very very bad. Water was dropping from the spot light right on the bath, and i went to reception to report it. They said, so what? Well, electricity and water meant nothing to reception. I guess they just picked up random people, who just hardly speak English, to work in reception.
Room - You cannot control the AC easily. It takes hours to get to the degree you want. And you cannot open the patio door because the floor gets wet quickly (i stayed in an ocean-view room). I did not get a room cleaning for one day. It is like they check the rooms very rarely, and you should be doing nothing at that time or be out of the room.
Manager - I talk to a manager about my complaints, he said if you can wait i can help, and when i asked how you are going to help? he answered, i will have your feedback. Bummer. and i had to wait for a long time so i left.
Wakeup Call - Do not trust them. They didn't wake me up once.
Room telephone - You have to pay in the reception to make a call then go to your room or use the phone in the lobby. I had to use the one in the lobby since the phone in my room was kind of broken, you heard the reception talking and a waiting song while you were talking.
Hotel Feature Tip :
stay away. do not choose. there are other hotels around cheaper and much better.

unforgettable holiday experience
The sea around the hotel is amazing. I swam to the hotel next door and felt like in a James Bond novel. LOVED the Mexican staff, so so friendly and genuine helpfulness. Didn't even need to leave the hotel. Also the day beds are out of this world luxury. Yoga every morning at Dreams nextdoor, wonderful! Eat the fruit platter and let the staff pamper you. Cons - Wouldn't stay here if was with a family. Adult type environ.
Restaurant Tip :
Eat at sunset at the hotel, at least one night of your stay, the chief there is really great. Try the crab and mango starter salad, yum.
